Description
This is an early 18th century property with a classic Georgian symmetrical front with rusticated quoins, sill bands, modillion cornice and parapet with open lattice sections as well as a central porch with Ionic ¾ columns. Upon on entering the property there is a large hall with an open-well stair with quarter landings at the back of the house, with fluted newel posts rising between floors and pyramid pendants below, barley sugar balusters. At some point the open well has been boarded over and a door added to the staircase to separate the upper floors off. In addition the hall has been subdivided to create an additional room. Both alterations are easily removed reinstating the property to its former glory. Other notable features include an elaborate panelled plaster ceiling in the Drawing Room with deeply undercut fruit and flowers.
