I've always wondered - especially after holidays in France, why more of us don't live in the very centre of town. The apartments above the older shops were designed as family accommodation many years ago and are always surprisingly attractive; big rooms, large windows and high ceilings. In many ways they are the antidote to more modern 'boxy' designs that we find nowadays.

The convenience is also incredible! To be at home in the very middle of things is truly exhilarating. Your favourite bars, coffee shops and restaurants are almost literally on your doorstep and there will never be a need to plan a trip to the shops - they've already come to you! Commuters need not worry either, the station is just at the bottom of Mount Pleasant.

The apartment has a large lounge/dining room and an equally good sized bedroom away from the street. There is an entrance at Kirkdale Road with an entry phone for additional convenience.

This is very much a property that needs to be visited to appreciate its qualities. If you want space and location and are working to a budget, this would be a wise choice.

We are in the middle of town - nowhere is more than a short walk away for us and we love the convenience. In fact, it's the whole reason we bought the apartment. Camden Road has a wonderful mix of independent retailers and restaurants that seems to be ever changing; and living here puts us at the very centre of the 'alternative' Tunbridge Wells. More than this, the Royal Victoria Place is just down the road and we don't have far to go to get to either the railway station or the many parks the town has to offer. Whilst it's part of an older property our flat has a very 'user friendly' design and feel. It's light and airy, has high ceilings, good space and a large bedroom. Family life will soon take us to a different home, but we will always have fond memories of this special place.
