Our vendor says ... Badgers House has been in the family for 25 years and was bought as a 'downsize' cottage in a rural position. The area, outlook and views are simply second to none and the character of the property is fantastic. Indeed it has that lovely mix of being peaceful, however, the mainline trains, supermarkets and M5 are only minutes away. We will be incredibly sad to leave.
We have noticed ... One of the two semi detached properties (originally one big property) built we believe in the 1800's and owned by the same family for 25 years. It is wonderfully quiet and peaceful with fantastic countryside aspect and it crucially retains the character often stripped out of older character cottages. We feel that size wise it is much more than you would expect of a standard two bedroom cottage as it has the two reception rooms and kitchen/breakfast room and to have a detached double garage! Very unusual... A beaut!
Situation
The hamlet of Hewish in North Somerset lies between the village of Congresbury and the seaside town of Weston-super-Mare. Close by is the local pub The Full Quart, plus an Indian restaurant and primary school. There is a regular bus service to and from Bristol and Weston, with a bus stop just over the road. Both towns are easily commutable for work, and Weston-super-Mare has an excellent range of shops, social and recreational facilities, including a mainline railway station. The M5 motorway is literally just a few minutes' drive away, giving access to the national motorway network to the north and south.
