Situation

The Somerset village of Radstock is situated 9 miles south west of Bath and 8 miles from Frome. Radstock is a former mining town and evidence of such can be seen within the local community including the old winding wheel in front of the Radstock Museum.

For those looking to travel further afield access to the M4 north of Bath at Junction 18 is around 19 miles distant.  Mainline rail services to London Paddington are available from Bristol (98 minutes) and Bath (85 minutes).  Bristol International Airport lies approximately 17 miles to the west, giving convenient access to regular internal and international flights.

There is a wide range of well regarded schools at all levels locally, both from the state and private sectors. There are three Primary Schools within the town, St Mary’s C of E Primary School, St Nicholas C of E Primary School and Trinity Primary School. Writhlington Academy is the closest state secondary school and there are a number of Private Schools including The Bath Schools, as well as Downside School at Stratton on Fosse, Wells Cathedral School and Wessex College in Frome.

The area is well known for its many and varied sporting and leisure facilities. The area is popular for walking and cycling while sailing and fishing can be pursued at Chew Valley Lake. Leisure centres can be found at Bath,  Frome, Midsomer Norton, Wells and Shepton Mallet.
