Property description

From the moment you step through the stable style front door of this attractive cottage, you will be greeted by the wealth of character and space this home has to offer. You can imagine sitting in the lounge during the warmer months, with the top of the stable door open, allowing the cooling afternoon breeze to come in. The exposed brickwork chimney breast would be ideal for a log burner or fire grate to be installed, so you can snuggle in front of a real fire during the winter.

The kitchen is the perfect place for you to have breakfast as this is a spacious and bright room. You can picture yourself sitting at the kitchen table having tea and toast in front of the rayburn.

Both bedrooms are large with bedroom 1 having stunning views over the local farmland, a great way to start your day! At the end of a long day you can relax in the bath with tea lights resting on the exposed wooden beam to create a wonderful ambience.

The garden is wonderfully private with a lawn and small patio area, where you can sit and look at the bluebells and admire your newly planted borders. There is also a parking space at the rear of the house so you will always have somewhere to park.

What the Owner says:
When I first saw this cottage 10 years ago I instantly fell in love with it. Not only was it larger than some of the other cottages I viewed, I really liked the character and the traditional rayburn heating. Should you want a more modern method of heating, you could choose to install either oil or electric heating.

The location is great if you need to get to London as the train station is only a few minutes walk down the lane. Junction 11 of the M20 is less than 5 minutes away so it is also really good for motorway access as well as the shuttle service to France.
