Location
Set amoung rolling countryside, the hamlet of Loynton is situated in the delightful parish of Norbury which is most noted for its nature reserve through which runs the Shropshire Union Canal. The almost equidistant market towns of Newport and Eccleshall provide a wide range of local amenities which include supermarkets, doctor, dentists, post office, restaurants and pubs; both with an active social calendar. The larger county town of Stafford is just 9 miles away, with a wider range of amenities and superb access to road and rail links. Junction 14 of the M6 provides easy access to the larger centre's of Stoke-on-Trent (19 miles), Birmingham (39 miles) and Manchester (61 miles) further afield. Stafford railway station provides a regular intercity service to London Euston in just 1 hour and 20 minutes.

Schooling
There is a superb range of both state and private schooling within the area, with Newport High School for Girl and Adams Grammar School located in nearby Newport. In the private sector, St Dominics Priory, Yarlet, Stafford Grammar, Denstone College and Shrewsbury School are all easily accessible.

Situation
Approached via a long driveway through stone pillars, Loynton Hall sits within approx 12.75 acres. Separated into two areas, there is sweeping parkland running to the right hand side of the driveway. The driveway leads to a gravel turning circle and parking area with an additional gravel driveway running to the rear of the property where outbuildings such as the original coach house, stables and garaging are located. The formal garden is principally to the front of the property with sweeping lawns bordered by mature trees. Beyond the woodland is a well stocked lake with fishing platforms and stunning views over the adjacent parkland and countryside beyond.

History
Loynton Hall is believed to have been built in 1671 by the Higgins Burne family, and it is thought that the house was built over the cellars of an earlier house. The house remained in their ownership until 1942, during which time the house evolved with 18th Century Georgian additions. The current owners of the hall have copies of two diaries of the Higgins Burne family in which life at Loynton Hall is chronicled over the 18th and 19th centuries. The diaries show that the family had a fondness for acting and theatrical works at the house. As well as the diaries that provide interesting reading, there is also two large portraits situated in the drawing room of members of the Higgins Burne family that will be passed to the new owners.

Ground Floor

A grand entrance to an even grander property, a part glazed front door with fan light over is set between Doric columns and opens into the entrance hallway. There are five wall lights, a ceiling light, deep Dental coving and a telephone point. Panelled doors lead to the ground floor accommodation.
