The historic county town of Lewes offers an excellent range of amenities, within walking distance to the mainline railway station with services to London Victoria (just over the hour), leisure centre, South Downs college, primary and secondary schooling, major supermarkets and a range of individual shops. The universities of Sussex and Brighton are approximately 6 miles distant. The famous Glyndebourne Opera House is located on the outskirts of Ringmer.
