Cleave Point is situated on the outskirts of Barnstaple town centre and benefits from all this historic market town has to offer, including the Pannier Market on Butchers Row which is open daily and offers a selection of local produce, arts and crafts, and flea market depending on which day you visit. Butchers Row has various different produce shops including Butchers, Bakers, Fishmongers, Deli's, Fruit and Veg and cafe's. Barnstaple, being one of the oldest Boroughs in England, is steeped in history and stories. Follow the Heritage Trail around the town, checking out Rock Park with its play park, skate park and tennis courts or take it easy and have a stroll down along the Tarka Trail at the side of the River Taw. The Heritage trail will also take you along Litchdon Street to the Alms houses which have the bullet holes from the Cavaliers and Roundheads and then on to see some examples of Brannam's pottery, opposite Barneys Hairdressers. For entertainment, Barnstaple has the Queens Theatre on Boutport Street, Scott Cinemas also on Boutport Street and for the more active among you, check out Lets Go! Barnstaple down on Braunton Road for Ice Skating, Ten pin bowling, Laser Tag and Karaoke.
