Property description

Property Step back in time in this delightful period property which boasts a host of wonderful original features. Situated in a beautiful conservation area of Market Drayton in North Shropshire and having the added bonus of no upward chain, this really is a rare opportunity to be the lucky new owner of this historical treasure. Internally the wonderfully spacious rooms include a long entrance hallway with quarry tiled floor leading to a lounge, utility room and a dining kitchen with access to the large cellar. Onto the first floor there are three decent sized bedrooms, main bathroom and an additional separate W.C. A further staircase leads to the second floor and the light and airy 4th bedroom. Step up to the large loft room, which is boarded and could make an excellent space, suitable for a variety of purposes. Externally there is a walled rear garden which has decked and lawned areas and has a useful brick outbuilding. In addition to this there is full planning permission for a detached double garage; 13/03997/ful. With all of this and its delightful location boasting views of the medieval St Marys Church, we feel that this property simply must be viewed to be appreciated.

Location Market Drayton is a popular North Shropshire market town on the Staffordshire/Cheshire borders. It is on the River Tern, between Shrewsbury and Stoke on Trent and was formerly known as Drayton in Hales and is listed in the Domesday Book. In 1245 King Henry III granted a charter for the weekly Wednesday market, giving the town its current title. The market is still held every Wednesday. The Shropshire Union Canal runs through the town and Market Drayton offers a wide variety of amenities such as schools, specialist and high street shops, supermarkets and health and leisure facilities. The larger centres of Newcastle under Lyme, The Potteries, Crewe, Stafford, Telford and Shrewsbury are all within commutable distance.
