Observatory House Information

We are delighted to present Observatory House which is situated in the heart of Milford Haven, better known as Hamilton Terrace. This Victorian period property dates back to the 19th Century and was built by a well known London Surgeon as his Milford Haven home. As you will see from the old photograph we have used in our details - it's still a grand looking property which overlooks the Milford Haven estuary with fantastic water views. That view still remains along with the wealth and character this property has somehow managed to maintain for over 100 years. If features such as high ceilings, original flooring, grand entrance hallway with panelled walls are your taste- then we are quite sure you are going to appreciate everything this property has to offer. The current vendors are currently using this versatile property as an "upside down house" maximising the estuary view. The 3 main sleeping bedrooms are on the ground floor and the main living area plus 4th bedroom and double shower room are on the second floor and upon viewing you will understand why!
The South front elevation shows a Curved Overhang which protects the Front door and also allows seating to be utilized to take in estuary views. A small garden to the left of the central entrance steps also has seating and various plants laid over a coloured stone base for easy maintenance.

Entering through the large arched front entrance door way you enter into the lovely welcoming porch. From this another large hall door with fitted lead lights allows you to access the central hall with its wooden floor and arched pillar features and cornice ceilings. The current vendors have re-configured the property to make it work for themselves which could of course be altered to suite the next owners if required. To the left is the master bedroom with its large bay window overlooking the fantastic estuary and Marina views. It leads onto the Grecian style en-suite bathroom with its Jacuzzi bath as a centre piece, twin sinks and W.C.

Observatory House Information (Contd)

To the right of the hallway are two double bedrooms, one overlooking the estuary and one facing out towards the rear back garden. At the rear of the hall there is also a fitted utility room with sink and built-in washing machine and also houses the central heating boiler which is run off oil with the tank situated behind screened fencing at rear of garage. However if gas is your preference then the gas connection is still available via existing pipework throughout the house. At the end of the hallway is situated the stable back door which leads to the gorgeous gardens.

Leading from the central hall you climb the grand staircase to the half landing where the second family bathroom is located with its double shower and fitted vanity unit, sink and W.C. Following on to the main landing access to the right leads to a further fitted double bedroom which overlooks the garden. The landing allows access to the open plan lounge, dining room, kitchen which all have fantastic sea and garden views and are of a fantastic size!

The lounge has the gorgeous bay window which overlooks the whole of the estuary and marina and also the feature fireplace which is a gorgeous focal point for the whole room. The large 8 seater dining room table sits comfortably in the large open space and the room has excellent estuary views from the front window.

Comprehensive range of integral appliances such as the double oven/grill and induction hob together with built-in dishwasher and fridge are part of the modern fitted kitchen together with beamed ceiling.

All-in-all a great family home which is laced with local history dating back over a hundred years.

Situated in a prime location within Milford Haven we feel this property is a fantastic buy!
