The town of Fowey is approximately 15 miles away and is well known for its restaurants and coastal walks. The Cathedral city of Truro is approximately 16 miles from the property. The recently regenerated St Austell town centre is located approximately 12 miles away and offers a wide range of shopping, educational and recreational facilities. There is a mainline railway station and leisure centre together with primary and secondary schools and supermarkets.

Directions: - From St Austell head out towards Mevagissey through the Pentewan Valley. At the top of the hill before you drop down into Mevagissey turn right. Head along past the Lost Gardens of Heligan on the left, and follow the road for approximately 31/2 miles, through the hamlet of Gorran Highlanes and Gorran Village. As you head out of Gorran Village take the next right hand turning signposted Gorran Haven. Follow the road down and around the right hand bend, heading down into the village. Go past Gorran playing fields and recreational area on the right hand side, and past the Welcome to Gorran Haven sign. Head past the left hand turnings to Portheast Way and Trelispen Park Drive, down the hill towards the beach end car park. Follow the sign posts to the car park and down Rice Lane until you see the beach, as you approach the entrance to the beach there is a road to your left, follow this hill until you get to Gorran church where Ebbtide will be located opposite.
