Description
Situated at the end of a private tree lined drive, this secluded country residence was once one of the grandest houses in the area with the owners stating that originally the property had over 4, 000 acres of land. The current owners have maintained and improved the house which is now being sold as a well presented, large country home set in 6 acres of grounds which include formal gardens, woodland and pasture paddock with a lovely wildlife pond.
The internal accommodation features large, airy high ceilinged rooms with the formal dining room and drawing room being extremely spacious and featuring bay windows and lovely fireplaces, these and a further cosy sitting room, shower room and WC are accessed from the stunning reception hall with a sweeping staircase to the first floor. The inner hall gives access to the study, family room and the farmhouse style kitchen with a beautiful slate floor and range of hand made oak units The ground floor accommodation is completed by a second dining room, sun room, boiler room, larder and a good sized billiard room with full sized table and bar area with a WC off.
On the first floor are two glorious master bedroom suites both with far reaching views over the garden, paddock and countryside beyond, and each with generous en-suites. There are four further good sized double bedrooms, two with en-suite facilities and a family bathroom.
The gardens surround the property providing several areas of formal garden with lawns, flower beds and shrubbery, with on the north west side of the property a recently re-built Orangery. The land extends mainly to the south of the property with a lawned garden, large pasture paddock with wildlife pond, and woodland bordering the east and west of the property adding to the seclusion
The property is well maintained with the wealth of character features, with the modern benefits of oil fired central heating providing extra warmth, making Newacott House a beautiful and welcoming home. This property would make an excellent country guest house or large, beautiful family home. There is also the possibility of a restaurant or small residential care home business.
