The Vendor's View

It was the size of the property and the location that first drew us here. We were looking for a big, family house that was within walking distance from the city centre, the railway station and the University of Kent. The position of this house was ideal for our needs and, along with the size, it ticked all our boxes.

Our favourite room is probably the kitchen/breakfast room, which is a lovely open space to spend time together. We love to cook and the outlook over the garden to watch the children playing while making dinner is perfect. It’s a lovely bright room, even on the gloomiest winter’s day. We also really enjoy the wood flooring that runs throughout downstairs, and the beautiful garden where we have had many lovely summer barbecues.

The schools here are exceptional, being a Grammar school area, Canterbury is well known for its excellent education. There are both primary and secondary schools within walking distance as well as the University of Kent. The railway station is just 7 minutes walk away, while the town centre is 10 minutes along the riverside, which is just beautiful. The close proximity to the two sports centres wasn’t something that we considered when we moved here but now that our children are old enough to make full use of it, the fact it is just around the corner is brilliant.

We have wonderful friendly neighbours who we will miss greatly and we know that wherever we move now will never be as convenient as this house.
