Dorchester Living - Heyford Park, OX25
Heyford Park is Dorchester Living’s first development project and is the large-scale regeneration of former RAF Upper Heyford in Bicester, Oxfordshire. Set within 1,231 acres, Dorchester Living are building over 700 new homes and refurbishing a number of existing bungalows at the Heyford Park development. Working alongside local companies and the local community helps Dorchester Living to fulfil its commitment of creating a sustainable development.
Dorchester Living are in the process of developing a number of facilities and amenities at Heyford Park, and the first of these is the Heyford Park Free School which opened in 2013. A selection of sporting facilities, a neighbourhood centre with retail outlets and a village pub will be available to Heyford Park residents in the near future.
Heyford Park Gym is situated at the Heyford Park Free School specialisms campus and has a selection of cardio machines including treadmills, cross trainers, rowing machines, static bikes as well as a moving stair climber and various other equipment and access to personal trainers. The gym also features a range of indoor and outdoor sport pitches and is home to a number of local sports clubs. It includes a superb sprung-floor basketball court, squash courts, football pitches, an athletics track, baseball diamonds and tennis courts.
Heyford Park Free School is housed in the Grade II listed former Officers Mess that once served as the entertainment venue for both the RAF and the US Air Force officers stationed at Heyford Park. The building is an excellent space that provides an inspiring environment for our students to learn in, while representing a unique reflection of Heyford Park’s heritage and history. Both the primary and secondary students are housed in the building, which acts as the main academic hub of the school. The Sports Centre also holds a number of classrooms designed for music, design and technology that pupils will use throughout their school life. For more information please visit:
