- Zoopla remains #2 site in UK, closing gap on Rightmove
The latest data from the leading independent website traffic monitoring firm, Nielsen, shows that the number of visitors to the top UK property portals surged in May as consumer interest in the overall market increased and more consumers turned to the top portals as their online destination of choice.
The figures reveal that Rightmove continues to lead the market with 3.45 million unique visitors in May, up 7.6% year-on-year. Zoopla had the second-largest audience in May with 1.96 million unique visitors, up an impressive 45.97% from one year ago and making strides toward closing the gap with Rightmove. Findaproperty came in third place with 1.7 million visitors and Primelocation fourth with just under 1 million visitors in May (down 23% on last year).
All of the top UK portals saw their audiences grow healthily in May over April as a result of continued marketing investment with Rightmove up 12% month-on-month, Zoopla up 44% from April and Findaproperty up 22%. Earlier this week Zoopla.co.uk announced an exclusive deal to power the property search on AOL UK, the latest addition to its partner list.

Our latest research confirms that our brand awareness in the market in also now second only to Rightmove.”
