Adel is a suburb in North Leeds, West Yorkshire. It is situated between Cookridge, Holt Park, Weetwood and Alwoodley. Adel is a mainly residential area of Leeds, and being in proximity to Adel Crags and the Meanwood Valley Trail has a distinctive countryside feel. Adel also has two primary schools, namely Adel Primary School and St John The Baptist Primary School, which have excellcent reputations.
Adel is home to Headingley Golf club, the oldest golf club in Leeds. Nearby is Holt Park District Shopping Centre which includes an Asda supermarket (soon to be extended) and a Boots chemist. There is also a leisure centre and a library in this complex.
