Situation Brolly Cottage fronts The Adit, just a few yards from the centre of Calstock village, as well as The Quay which has been extensively refurbished in recent years. Calstock is a picturesque village situated on the banks of the River Tamar, and its famous viaduct is a famous landmark of the Tamar Valley. There are local shopping facilities in Calstock, as well as a Parish Church, primary school and a railway station providing a regular rail link with Plymouth, via one of the most scenic routes in the country. The larger towns of Callington and Tavistock are both within 6 miles, and cater for most other day to day requirements. The City of Plymouth is also within commuting distance, being some 20 miles away via Tavistock or the Tamar Bridge at Saltash. The Tamar Valley is a designated Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, and many delightful walks are readily available, especially through the woods to the National Trust owned Cotehele House and Quay, which is about a mile down river.

Directions Upon entering Calstock continue through Fore Street, and fork right just before the Boot Inn into The Adit. Brolly Cottage is then at the bottom of the lane on the right hand side.

Description Brolly Cottage comprises a charming semi - detached cottage, of traditional stone and slate construction. Inside, the living accommodation is beautifully presented, affording a sitting/dining room and kitchen on the ground floor, with two bedrooms and bathroom on the first floor. Heating is supplied by electric night storage heaters and a wood burning stove in the sitting room. There is a small tub standing/sitting area in front of the cottage, with walled surround.
