Accent pieces 'a big interior design trend' in 2011

Property owners planning to revamp their home interiors in 2012 may find that investing in a few key items can help to transform their abode.
That is the opinion of a spokeswoman for Egerton Designs, who said that using "accent pieces" to bring interiors up to date without the need for major expensive changes will be very popular among the nation's homeowners.
"Style-conscious people will be adding just one wall of large print wallpaper to their rooms to change the atmosphere and update them, and then removing beige and other old cushions, adding icing sugar pink cushions instead," she explained.
The expert noted that, in order to add value to the home, UK property owners would be well advised to spend some spare cash on freshening up their interiors so as to give their properties that 'wow' factor.
One of the benefits of this is that it could increase home values and would certainly be something that can help to make the house more sellable at a time when attracting interest in property for sale is arguably more important than ever.
"It is something that potential purchasers could notice, as soon as they enter the property, thereby getting a fast sale," the representative added.
