We would suggest that you get in touch with local estate agents in order to get some background about the area.
You can search for agents using the ‘find agents’ tab on the top of the Zoopla Page.
We hope this helps.

Altrincham is a brilliant place to live. Having grown up there and lived away for the best part of 10 years in Northamptonshire, Oxford, Maidenhead and various parts of London - Altrincham is one of the best - but dont just base that on my argument.....
Its less than 10 minutes from the 3rd largest airport in the UK, its 25 minutes by metrolink to the 2nd best city in the UK, its within 15 minutes of the M56, M6 and M60, its 5 minutes away from the amazing cheshire countryside....
Away from comms - it has the best schools in the UK, access to the countryside and a local market which is getting a lot of recognition for its apporach (guardian, ft, etc)
In recent years the town has suffered - the retail and nightlife have both gone been in a bad way... but nightlife is really starting to come back with a great selection of bars from fine belgium bars, good "old man" pubs, a few wine bars and an assortment of others. The retail is slowly getting there but still a long way from where it was (though House of Fraser, Debenhams, H&H, River Island, Next and a good independent market is a solid foundation.
It is one of the most expensive parts of MCR / Trafford - but its still got potential to rise - and in my opinion has a lot more going for it than Didsbury / Cholrton
