No Street View available?

Should I be concerned about a property that doesn't have a street view in it's detail? This applies to one or two properties in Billingshurst which otherwise look great.

  • Hi tigerprecious, Zoopla's Street View tab relies on using a function which is supplied by Google Maps. The images are filmed from a car - you might have seen vehicles on the road with a pole coming out of the sunroof or mounted on the roof with a nine-direction camera - and then stitched together to provide us with detailed views from ground level. Unfortunately, this means that in locations which are not accessible by car it is likely that a Street View has not been filmed. This includes pedestrian areas, narrow streets, alleyways and places like ski resorts. Google has attempted to get around this problem by deploying Google Trikes and even snowmobiles - so it might be that the area in question has not been covered yet. It is nothing to worry about per se, but it is well worth doing some research and visiting the area to make sure that access to your desired property is suitable. I hope that helps, Scott
