Hi. I am looking for a 1 bed flat prices between £400-£500. My annual salary is around £16,260. Can I rent without a guarantor with the amount I am earning?

  • Hi Amardeep - the general rule is that a third of your take-home income (after tax and National Insurance) should be spent on rent. As long as your credit rating is good and you have no previous issues with landlords, there shouldn't be a problem and you won't need a guarantor. But you might have to go for something cheaper, unless you can find the extra money. Best of luck...
