  • Having lived in Alderley Edge for 23 years I can honestly say NO! I have never been bothered by mosquitos or any insects that you wouldnt expect to find anywhere in the UK.

  • Unless you refer to the new hotel in Chester called The Mosquito, then no. I've lived in the city for 10 years and have had no such problem

  • Cheshire has many streches of open water where mosquito could live, but most have healthy fish stocks that eat all the bugs. So the answer is NO. ..... but as with most of the UK you will get some mozi and midge flying in the summer especially in rural areas of Cheshire.
