What is Ewloe like to live in?

My husband and I are hoping to move to ewloe and like the look of the St David's park estates. We currently live outside of Chester but as my family are in north wales I'd like to move closer to them whilst still maintaining a good access to Liverpool as we both work that way. As we have a young daughter my question is, what is the area like in general as I need to consider schools, things to do etc. Any feedback would be most appreciated.

  • Ewloe is a nice area and covers St David Park. the schools are considered to be good too and Hawarden High is hard to get in to so you have to make sure you live in the catchment area. Some would prefer Hawarden proper but the prices do go up a bit. Access to the bypass is always great there. If you want me to look at prices just ask.

  • Hi, If you are looking for area information like this, then thankfully it is something that you can find on the Zoopla website. To find this, just head back to the homepage and then carry out a search for all properties for sale in Ewloe. This should bring up a list of everything currently listed on Zoopla. Just click on any one of these (it doesn't matter what one for the purpose of this) and then look above the main picture. You will see a tab called local info. Click on this tab to be taken to a different part of the website where you can see detailed a number of different facts about the area. This will show you reviews from people who have lived there, as well as details on things like demographics, crime rates etc. For schools, you need to scroll down to the first bar chart on the page. This has a tab above it for schools and if you click on this, it will compare performance in the area to national averages. As you will see from this page, the schools in the area perform very well compared to the national averages for all A-level results, and particularly for 2+ A-level passes. Many thanks, Scott

  • The schools in hawarden actually aren't that good, look at the previous few years estyn reports, hawarden high is average at best although I know rector Drew is a good school for youngsters. Mold high school is a much better performing school and has her for many years.
