Can I find out who is the bank that repossessed a house?

  • If you get a copy of the Home information pack in the title section it will tell you who had charges (loans secured on the property) however a number of lenders distance themselves from repossessions as it is deemed negative publicity and will not deal directly in the sale. They normally use asset management companies. Hope this helps.

  • Mark is correct. Titlle documentation confirms charges held against a property. Most lenders however use asset managers to intiate and handle the disposal as a third party and therefore tend to shire away from identifing themselves as the mortgagees
