  • Very nice - good range of types of houses. Quaint streets and quiet backwaters. Have lived here for over 30 years - love it.

  • In general Frome is not a noisy place but you have to consider the location of the conservation area (In particular South parade). This is located near the centre of town and although convenient, it's a thoroughfare for people from the South side of town making their way into town and back again for the evenings entertainment. Also located at the end of South Parade is the South Parade club which is a members only club (most members >40 years old) where there is a skittles league, darts on a Wednesday and pool on Monday. There is obviously going to be some disturbance here but you can get that all over town. I live on the Bath side of town and I can hear the music from the Cheese and Grain (Live bands) and I am fully aware when Frome Town Football Team have scored a goal on a Saturday afternoon. This town lives. If that's what you want then this is the town for you
