  • I would suggest that you look at the local authorities’ website for this area are, this will also give you a guide to house prices and movement of the market within the area. You can also look at the local tourist board website which gives you an up to date overview of the area.

  • Hi there, unfortunately I really cannot recommend living or moving to Guernsey. I moved here with my boyfriend (we are both 29) approximately a year ago and have found the lifestyle very quiet. Living in Guernsey can be quite frustrating as there really is a divide in the community between locals and expats that are recruited to maintain the finance industry. It is such a shame as it is a beautiful island in the summer. It is very difficult to attain rental accommodation due to the licences provided to new arrivals. We were really looking forward to travelling the european region but unfortunately travel off the island due to the limited air services / airlines and it is very expensive even with the tax concessions. The amenities are not even close to what we had expected / were told and this is one of the major frustrations that new people face. My advice is try and avoid it if you can. Sorry just thought I should be honest!

  • Hi, We would suggest that you get in touch with local estate agents in order to get some background about the area. You can search for agents using the ‘find agents’ tab on the top of the Zoopla Page. We hope this helps.
