How does it compare to the areas around? What are the local amenities like?

  • Main issue is getting on and off - one road bridge that suffers from congestion, particularly in the summer when everyone wants to go to the beach after work and weekends. If you have to commute it might put you off. Everything that you could need is in nearby Havant.

  • Leave the rest of the world behind as you cross the bridge onto the island. The benefits of living on this coastal island far outweigh the one road on and off. Our peak traffic is no worse than other rush hour traffic and not as bad as going into Portsmouth for example. The island has a diverse range of properties available and is an ideal place for young families or those retiring to be near the sea. A good range of local shops and stores, schools, library, health centre, parks and community centres, sailing clubs, marinas, links golf course and public 9 hole course, 5 racket tennis club and much more are on offer.

  • Hi, We would suggest that you get in touch with local estate agents in order to get some background about the area. You can search for agents using the ‘find agents’ tab on the top of the Zoopla Page. We hope this helps.
