Council tax related to annexes

We're looking to buy a property in Herefordshire that will have an annex which will have mixed use: relatives and friends can come and stay with us, and we'll rent it out on holiday/weekend lets when not in use. Does anyone know what the council tax implications will be for the annex? Thanks.

  • Hi - I wouldn't have thought so, it would really depend on whether it is classed as an extra dwelling. Your best bet would be to contact the the council to discuss.
