Are the people friendly?
Is there much greenery in the area?

I have lived in Ashford all my life. It is a nice place with great people. There are job opportunities and the town is a busy yet fun place. Depending on the area you will find that that area suits you best we have Brokefield, Stanhope, Kennington (for the welthier kind of people), Singleton, Park Farm and more. I would advise people to move here, I'd never leave, let's say that. Hope I could help.

Voted the fourth best place to live in 2005! Whilst many people may disagree, Ashford offers a variety of working opportunities, good schools, sporting facilities and of course the high speed rail link.
There are many green areas in the surrounding villages, Wye, Challock, Egerton and Charing to mention but a few, providing some beautiful countryside walks, in fact one of my colleagues is a member of a local rambling society. There are also several parks located centrally.
You never really know a place until you have lived there, if you are unsure what a town holds in store for you, perhaps renting a property for 6 months in the town may be a good option.

You will get to know your neighbours but it takes time because a lot of people work during the day. It's not too far to the country and there are lots of woods and open spaces where I live. If you would like me to recommend an estate to live on just ask as there are a lot of new builds and houses for sale where I live. You can email me.

We would suggest that you get in touch with local estate agents in order to get some background about the area.
You can search for agents using the ‘find agents’ tab on the top of the Zoopla Page.
We hope this helps.
