Only flat number with a Letter e.g. 18A

This question is out of pure curiosity, me and my partner have recently moved into a new (ish) build apartment in Buckshaw Village, Chorley, and all of the other apartments on our street are numbered apart from ours which has a letter A in it. For example our block has 14, 15, 16, 17, 18 and then 18A. The other blocks continue with numbers only. I know there are reasons for some not having a number 13 but was wondering if there is any reason why only our flat has a letter, the size and layout are exactly same as the others so I can't see it being down to being an extension or conversion. Is there a specific reason? Or did they just give someone else 19 and then remember they forgot our apartment?

  • Hello Leon, That does seem pretty odd. Perhaps download the Title Register (if you don't have it already), and contact the developer and ask the reasoning behind this? Thanks, Ruban
