  • Hi ibrahim, If you are looking to purchase a home with cash, it will certainly be far quicker to do so than it would be to get a mortgage, as it eliminates the period of having to wait for the funds to clear and for a mortgage provider to give the green light to the purchase. For this reason, it may well be preferential to the seller, particularly as they might be looking to sell their own home and move quicker, so it can work well on that front. It usually eliminates the chain as well as a cash buyer rarely has a property to sell that will act as a part of the knock on effects for the sale. Many thanks, Scott

  • If you're in a position to do so, it can make sense if you do not want the commitment of a mortgage. However, sometimes finance can be used in a good way as long you don't leave yourself over-exposed.
