Can anyone recommend a nice village west of Lincoln please? No more than 30 mins from Newark North Gate Station.

Nice area to bring up family

  • I would consider Thorpe on the Hill, small village about 20 mins away from newark north gate with village school but very good transport links, 1-2 mile from dual carriageway

  • Aubourn, Bassingham, Thurlby, Carlton Le Moorland, Norton Disney...all on A46 Newark side of Lincoln, station 20 mins, it's beautiful area on river, known as Withamside villages.

  • Brampton, a small Hamlet beside the Lincoln Golf Course. Nearly half an Acre of land mostly grass, (football, Tennis, Riding a bike, most things children want to do etc. Access to Golf Course, Very Little Light Pollution at Night ideal for. Star Gazers Quiet, Everybody knows everybody, so keeps an eye open for strangers.

  • 2 Aldermans Walk on the west side of Lincoln facing uninterrupted views of the West Common and Trent Valley. 20 mins dual carriage way drive to Newark. Check it out on Zoopla. Owner retiring overseas, needs to sell. Will take less than 250,000. Ideal rural, quite location on the western edge of Lincoln, but with all the conveniencies of great shopping,entertainment and schools nearby, but feels like living in the country.
