Risks of buying in Concrete building

I'm interested in a property in a high rise made with concrete. What are the risks and problems with these properties. I know it can be very hard to get mortgages, are they difficult to sell on as well? Thank you

  • My name is Kelly and I work for Gibbs Gillespie estate agents. It may be difficult to sell on as it is not always easy to get a mortgage as stated. You are limiting your potential buyers to a limited number of lenders which may not be suitable for that particular buyer. Thanks Kelly

  • Yes true apparently difficult to mortgage a high rise .,but there's always someone! ,it's not the concrete that's a problem it's life expectancy and EPC rating could be far better than a house at ground level.good luck
