Dont go on the Royal Quays it has a nick name the Royal Meadowell. The Meadowell estate has changed alot over the last 15/18 years but it still is what it is a rough council estate. when they were knocking down the old houses and different things on the estate they moved all the prolem families out and moved alot of them up to New York. Percy Main was once a lovely village and again what went wrong they cleared away all the nice old cottages and built council housing. If you are looking to buy in North Shield Preston Grange, Billy Mill area along with its excellent choice of schools is the place to be. Any were away from Norham school. Norham is below average and is bottom on all the charts we have know people sell their houses to move to better areas of North Shields to get away from Norham school. North shields town centre is like the pits its dirty no real shops to talk about. Alright if you like £1:00 shops thats all it sems to have. TESCO is about 1 mile out of town with loads of free parking and again TESCO do everthing. Well done TESCO. The northern folk are lovely and friendly and North Shields has a lovely Fish Quay came and try the fish & chips.

We would suggest that you get in touch with local estate agents in order to get some background about the area.
You can search for agents using the ‘find agents’ tab on the top of the Zoopla Page.
We hope this helps.
