How do I find owner details for leasehold land?

You should be able to find what you are looking for through the Land Registry. This body keeps and maintains more than 23 million titles in England and Wales. Once land or property is registered with the organisation any subsequent ownership changes, mortgages and leases are recorded.
You will only be able to find out who owns a property or piece of land if it has been registered, and you need the postal address – some pieces of land can be hard to identify without this information.
If this is the case then you can use Map Enquiry link on the Find a Property section of the Land Registry. There is also a hints and tips section for the Aerial Land Locator. Once you have found what you are looking for you will have to pay £3 for the title register and £3 for a title plan.
