How busy is the traffic on Gosbrook Road at night, and do you get many (drunk) people walking around late at night after clubbing in Reading?

We are looking at houses on this road, towards the higher number end (360 ish) we just aren't sure about living on a main road although the house itself is amazing. Does anyone know how busy it is at night? Also, we wondered if people who have been out for the night in Reading might end up walking home along that road. Does anyone know how noisy it is at night in terms of car and people traffic? Thank you! any comments would be much appreciated

  • My best advice to you is to visit the road a different days and times to gauge your own opinion of the noise level and for traffic. I don't think that Reading town centre will affect you too much. Good luck in your search.

  • Traffic can be conjested in Caversham centre itself, as can Reading centre. Generally this tends to be at peak times and after about 7pm traffic does thin out considerably. You shouldn't be too bothered by nightlife as this tends to contain itself to the town centre. If you are looking in the area do be aware most of Caversham is in floodplain.
