Not every one is the same

Why is it so hard to find landlords that accept housing benefit. we get working tax credit and get help from the DSS, and still having a hard time trying to get someone to rent us a home.

  • Some of the landlords can't accept because sometimes someone in a higher position of them won't accept DSS. Like you say in the title, not everyone is the same. Good luck with your search. :)

  • Hello there, my name is Kelly and I work for Gibbs Gillespie. We do accept tenants with housing benefits, however, as you say it is down to the discretion of the landlord and unfortunately we do not have any landlords currently that will accept housing benefit. The reason for this is generally because of the landlords mortgage conditions or because of their household insurance policy.
