  • I would suggest that you look at the local authorities’ website or to see what the crime statistics etc for this area are. You can also look at the local tourist board website which gives you an up to date overview of the area. I would also visit the area and ask some locals.

  • It's a bit like living in a time bubble which sealed itself many years ago and shut itself off from the rest of the world. There are pubs, a real butcher and fruit and veg shop, post office, library, bookshops, general stores and a few more shops in a quiet, rural area. It's relaxed feel is apparent, there is no rush to do anything, no pressure, no panic. The relaxed atmosphere makes you feel safe and secure. Crime rates are very low. Whever you look there are stunning views. 12 miles from Kendal for bigger shops, 18 miles from Hawes for its Tuesday Market and Wensleydale cheeses, Pictuesque villages all around all having their own charm. Great place, we're so lucky to live here.

  • Hi, We would suggest that you get in touch with local estate agents in order to get some background about the area. You can search for agents using the ‘find agents’ tab on the top of the Zoopla Page. We hope this helps.
