  • Quite good. Good schools, train station direct to London, Leeds, Manchester, Hull and York. 45 mins from the Dales. 1 Hr from the coast. Flat as a pancake

  • I live outside of Selby in a small village. Yes it's great outside of Selby itself. However there are areas in Selby I would not want to live due to crime, drug users etc. There are better areas look into the countryside around Selby. Unless you have a job, job's are hard to come by. With my work I see alot of young mums who are single wanting to earn extra money. York is a good area to look at living also.

  • Hi, We would suggest that you get in touch with local estate agents in order to get some background about the area. You can search for agents using the ‘find agents’ tab on the top of the Zoopla Page. We hope this helps.

  • Selby is awful. Just moved here from West Yorkshire 2 months ago and desperate to sell up and move out. Very traditional attitudes, old fashioned, no culture, very boring, people generally pretty closed and tend to be small minded. Schools at best all mediocre, but ppl in Selby bizarrely think they are great. Wouldn't recommend it. I can't wait to leave
