  • Hi Adchhokra, The best way to describe a reception room is one in which you receive guests. These will not include things like a kitchen with a seating area, which some people in listings may try to pass off as a reception room when they are putting their home up for sale. Normally, a reception room will be something separate from the rooms you would use day-to-day, and must include the facilities to entertain guests. So, for example, we are looking at things like a lounge or front room, a conservatory with adequate seating space, or a drawing room. Other options could also include such things as a dining room. Many thanks, Scott
