What's it like to live in Wellington?

Are the people friendly? Is there much greenery in the area?

  • Excellent! big enough to have all the amenities needed, small enough to be personal. Good choice of shops, good choice of schools, good choice of churches. Lots of free parking. fabulous park. very easy access to M5 [2 minutes] then very quick to Bristol / Exeter. very handy for north & south devon coasts

  • Hi, We would suggest that you get in touch with local estate agents in order to get some background about the area. You can search for agents using the ‘find agents’ tab on the top of the Zoopla Page. We hope this helps.

  • Wellington, which I liken to a large village rather than a town, is a fantastic location. It has grown up much in the past few years, with the introduction of Waitrose, and Costa that have seen the town start to re-grow following the horrible climate we all encountered recently. I moved here circa 7 years ago from the North and have never looked back. It's close enough yet just far enough away, from the hussle that is the county town of Taunton (but 6 miles is all you need, if you enjoy the bigger shops and rat race) We have our own 'oldy style' cinema, sports centre & swimming pools, and fantastic schools including one majorly renowned private school that lays claim to the education of David Suchet (Poirot)
