  • I would suggest that you look at the local authorities’ website or to see what the crime statistics etc for this area are . You can also look at the local tourist board website for that area which gives you an up to date overview of the area. I would also visit the area and ask some locals.

  • We recently relocated to Southport, right opposite the marine lake, and we absolutely love it! Southport is a lovely Victorian seaside town with so much to offer and even better when the sun shines. The people here are really nice (not met a bad one yet) they always seem relaxed and friendly. Lord street is fantastic for shopping with the most gorgeous tree lined street that is all lit up at night. Lovely huge flat beach (but no paddling as the sea is too far out!!!) unless you're up for a real long walk to dip those toes!! I defy anyone who lives/moves here not to be impressed with this great place. Great for young and old alike. Good train links to Liverpool, Manchester, etc. We looked at many places to relocate to, and decided Southport was the one for us due to its pretty places and more to offer than other local places.
