In general, I'd say that there is still a strong demand for rental properties across the country, given that latest government figures show a 0.8 per cent rise in the price of rentals on average in May.
Cities will always see the highest demand for rented houses and flats, largely because they are perfect for young professionals and students, both demographics which are the most likely by far to live in these urban areas.
With regards to LS10, you are looking at being just two to three miles outside the city centre, which means that demand will still remain high, with residents living there able to enjoy strong links to the city centre via bus services.
If you look at the area stats tab at the top of this page, you will be able to see the latest rental asking prices throughout LS10. These look quite strong, always an indicator that there is a decent level of demand in any area.
