  • Hi Kay, 206 Altrincham Road, Manchester, M22 4RZ is a 3 bedroom detached property built in the 1950s. You only own a leasehold property for a fixed period of time. You’ll have a legal agreement with the landlord (sometimes known as the ‘freeholder’) called a ‘lease’. This tells you how many years you’ll own the property. Ownership of the property returns to the landlord when the lease comes to an end. You may find it hard to get a mortgage if there are fewer than 70 years left on the lease of the property you want to buy. Hope this helps.
