What does it mean if a house is for sale but nobody can get a mortgage on it?

  • Then it will only sell to a cash buyer. There is probably something wrong with it and it should be cheap.

  • It is not always a case that is something is wrong with it, it could be non-standard construction, or priced too low. However, it would require someone with cash funds to purchase.
