Short lease mortgage.
Can we get a mortgage if we are 58 and 59? We have a deposit of £30,000 short lease property 11yrs cost £215,000.

Hi Annabelle - Yes, it certainly possible albeit with shorter terms. You should find a specialist mortgage broker who would be able to guide you towards the best products.

Hello. If the lease is around 11 years no standard (if any) lender will lend on it. Furthermore the £30k deposit won't cut it with any lender on a £215k purchase of what is a risky proposition. Good luck.
