Do you mean 'council tax band' ie Band A to Band G. Houses are divided into seven groups roughly by value (strictly it is by their rental value), Band A being the cheapest, and Band G being the dearest. The higher the band, the more council tax you pay. You can check the band for any house at mycounciltax.org or other government websites.

Again a very good answer, it is simply the grading given to residential houses by local authorities for the purpose of calculating council tax contributions.
