How much is my property worth now?

Hi there I live in a 1872 tenement flat, first floor and the purchase price back in 2007 was £104,000 (offers over £75,000). In recent times I have updated it a little, new laminate bathroom flooring, wall bath panels, new carpet in dining/tv room, new laminate flooring in kitchen, new hall carpet, new curtain rail in bedroom and new curtains. The building comprises ground floor, 1st floor and 2nd floors.

  • Hello Sandra - if you enter the postcode in the "House prices & values" tab on the Zoopla home page, you should get an idea of what properties have been selling for in your local area. Flats can be a little more tricky to value, but I would suggest looking if any other flats have sold in the last year or so and compare them with your own.

  • You could use Zoopla’s quick and easy online property valuation tool. It’s free, and will give you an idea of your property's worth using data like how much the house was last sold for and how much other houses in the area have recently sold for. Alternatively, you can use an independent surveyor to assess your property and give you a more accurate figure.
