Why is property value in SE1 falling?

Hi. I am interested in purchasing in London SE1 neighbourhood and saw that the property value has fallen in the past year in this area compared to other areas in London (i.e. W3, W12, E8, N1). Can anyone shed some light into what the reason of the fall might be? Thank you!

  • I can only answer this as a pure guess. Maybe because SE1 is not seen as posh area globally unlike SW1 which we all know are well known around the globe. Market prices at the mo as we heard is driven by added strong demand from all over the world incl Asian and Europeans, etc. Some of London areas can change dramatically depending on regeneration and development that comes up. It's a matter of really what one wants a property for.
