Continue to rent or sell?

I have a 2 bed flat in Pennel house, poydners gardens which I am currently renting out for GBP1125pm. I have had endless trouble keeping tenants and receiving rent payments and am considering selling. Any advice?

  • Consider all your options before you take any action. What could be the reason you have trouble keeping tenants? Is it the property, is it the neighbourhood? Do you chose your tenants wisely? Has is always been hard to keep your tenants? Is the property you're renting important to you? I mean do you have any plans to use it in the future for any other purpose besides renting out? If you've always had trouble keeping tenants and are likely to be like this in the future, perhaps you selling is the better option. If, on the other hand, you find the source of the problem, I'd suggest you keep it. I personally would try to keep it as long as possible. I the problem with keeping tenants persists, I'd sell it. Hope that helps. Good luck
